Stanley, our sheep, was born right here at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue! His mother came to us from a cruelty case, already pregnant. On January 10, 2025, a day that snow fell on Indian Trail (which doesn’t happen often), the team came out and found lambs in the yard. His mom, stressed by all she had been through, rejected him, so people raised him instead. He spent his first weeks living with a volunteer, getting bottle feedings around the clock.
Growing up around people made Stanley the friendly sheep he is today, and now he grazes alongside his mom and his friend Olive. In his own words: “I’m so grateful to be baaaaaaack at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue!”
Give a gift that warms the heart! Your sponsorship of Stanley helps provide his food, expert veterinary care, and a safe home for life at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue.
