Pip, our Muscovy duck, was surrendered in October 2025 and her own record introduces her better than we ever could: “Imprinted and does not know she is a duck.” Because she imprinted on people early in life, humans are the flock she understands. The rescue tried settling her in with the other ducks, but the education team snatched her up first! Now Pip goes out to schools and programs as a traveling ambassador, teaching kids how wonderful Muscovy ducks are, and she still loves people.
Muscovy ducks are native to South America where winters are mild, and cold weather simply isn’t for them. So at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, Pip is here to be pampered; she’s warm, safe, and adored. In her own words: “Carolina Waterfowl Rescue are my people!”
Give a gift with a waddle! Your sponsorship of Pip helps provide her food, expert veterinary care, and a safe home for life at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue.
