Jonas, our domestic turkey, was raised for Thanksgiving on a farm. The farm called him Elvis before he came to Carolina Waterfowl Rescue in October 2021. Instead of ending up on a holiday table, he got a sanctuary.
These days Jonas works as one of the rescue’s ambassadors, and he takes the job seriously! He loves displaying his beautiful feathers and he will follow you around doing his dance and his full display until he has been admired properly. He shares his days with his harem, three lady turkeys he adores, in a brand-new pen custom-built just for him. He’s an older gentleman now, with a touch of arthritis, so his dances come at his own pace. In his own words: “Carolina Waterfowl Rescue gobbled me up and gave me a great home.”
Give a gift that struts! Your sponsorship of Jonas helps provide his food, expert veterinary care, and a safe home for life at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue.
CHOOSE YOUR FORMAT:
Digital Gift ($35): We email the recipient a printable Certificate of Sponsorship plus Jonas’s bio card with his photo and story.
Mailed Gift ($65): We print and mail the certificate and bio card.
Sponsorships are symbolic. Jonas stays home with us and your gift supports the care of all our sanctuary residents. This is a purchase, not a tax-deductible donation.
